Construction:
Hot dip galvanized frames fitted with galvanized steel if required otherwise heat resistance aluminum paints are used. All hardware is zinc plated. Stainless Steel hardware is used if required. Frames can be custom made also.

Load banks are the test device that is used to generate dummy loads for generator testing. A load bank is a device which develops an electrical load, applies the load to an electrical power source and converts or dissipates the resultant power output of the source in the  form of heat. A load bank includes load elements with protection, control, metering, and  accessory devices required for operation.

A Resistive load bank provides equivalent loading of both the generator and prime   mover. This means that for each kilowatt (or horsepower) of load applied to the generator  by the load bank, an equal amount of load is applied to the prime mover by the generator. 

Load Banks are available in Single & Three Phases.

  • The degree of Protection is IP -33 Unless otherwise specified however any degree of protection IP-00 to IP-55 can be offered. Tested designs are IP - 55, IP - 33 and IP - 43
  • Canopy is sloped to prevent accumulation of water. Overhang is provided on request to cover terminal box
  • Forged Eye Bolts or Lifting Angles ensure easy handling
  • Gl Wire Mesh below canopy is provided for ventilation purpose
  • This feature does not exist for IP - 55 enclosures
  • Basic construction of enclosure is an angle iron welded structure which provides rigidity
  • Removable bolted side covers of 2 mm thick mild steel are louvered for ventilation. GI wire mesh is welded from inside to assure the required degree of protection. No louvers are given for IP 55 enclosures
  • Hinged doors are provided whenever any instruments like relays or meters are to be flush mounted

Advantages of using:

  • Installation of NGR in the system reduces mechanical stresses in circuits and equipment subjected to fault currents. This also reduces the electrical-shock hazards to personnel caused by stray ground fault currents in the ground return path
  • Reduction in the momentary line-voltage dip occasioned by the occurrence and clearing of a ground fault
  • To secure control of transient over-voltages while at the same time avoiding the shutdown of a facility circuit on the occurrence of the first ground fault
  • Installation of NGR protects critical and expensive equipment such as Transformers and Generators from damage due to earth faults
